Coker Park 5k - 17:45

Had a good night on the track and was very happy to run 17:45 for the 5k. Legs felt pretty good for the whole thing. Perfect conditions, a little wind on the corner coming into the home straight but nothing much, and the rain stayed away although the track was wet. Ran this in my baby blue racing flats, although spikes may be the go if I'm going to get serious about this....

Lap splits : 40, 84, 85, 84, 84, 85, 88, 87, 87, 87, 86, 86, 83

Next week: 1 mile and 3000m (and I move into M45 on Wednesday....)

That's a great run - easily sub 18 and less than 30secs over your PR (set when you were absolutely flying). Indicates that you are just a few solid injury free weeks away from being back near your best. City to Surf might be a good goal race.

Thanks for that - I just have to decide whether to do the 12 or the half... looking good for the relay too. It's good to have a bit of confidence back!
